Rex Cleveland (1939-2016) was the editor of the Fleet Foot for 17 years, a member of the GWTC Hall of Fame and was the recipient of many other awards. His skill as a writer and editor were excellent and his ability to bring people together through his writing and editing were so strong the Club named one if its most prized awards -- the Cleveland Caldwell Advancement of the Sport Award -- after Rex. In his honor, this year's race will also feature a writing contest.
