Tim Simpkins: Update 1/21/01

Hello friends!

Thanks so much for your excellent support and encouragement this past week. For the past four days I have battled powerful fatigue and grogginess during each day. There was very little pain these last four days. Last night however, the chest pains returned very forcibly, perhaps from Friday's two hour chemotherapy session. 12:30, 8:00 a.m., and 10:00 a.m. I required pain medicine. Hopefully the liver pain will now recede. 

I am still tired and sleepy, and have difficulty concentrating. I force myself to eat because appetite is totally gone. Phone calls are welcome. I regret I am unable to receive visitors. My family and I hope we can still attend meeting tonight. I find it so incredibly amazing that I can barely function right now when earlier this week I had lots of energy and phizazz when everyone visited me at the hospital. I really appreciate all the countless things my running friends do for me. 

Hope everyone enjoys or did enjoy their running today.
