Tim Simpkins: Update 2/3/01

Hello, Friends

Today finds me feeling slightly better at the Hospital in Mexico . My fatigue is still powerful, but more tolerable. Stomach pain is now very controlled by Hospital medicines. My doctor wants to start aggressive treatments on Monday if I feel stronger.

 Twenty-four IV'S with energy liquid solutions is helping me feel better. Eight hours daily of other IV'S contain cancer-fighting treatments. Shark Cartilage enemas are given me twice daily. Coffee enemas are given me three times a week.  

I take couple naps a day. When I wake up, I still feel very tired. My fatigue must be bone-deep. After awakening, I take 10-20 minutes to sit around before enough energy returns to permit me to function. Amazing, Friends! Five weeks ago I ran a 50 mile week. Now I can barely walk across the room.  

Dec. 29 I ran 7 miles in full Superman costume - my last day of running. Hey, when I resume training later this year my legs will be totally rested. My friend Ray Wunderlich left yesterday for Tampa. I am so grateful for his fantastic friendship. 

Now my brother Mark is with me for at least a week. He does a super job helping his invalid brother. I sure was so wrong thinking I could stay here solo. I am just too weak and sick to handle the many, daily activities of treatment. 

Today my Doctor said my liver still has islands of functioning tissue despite tumor masses. He said liver is holding up. Monday's aggressive treatments should directly attack cancer cells. 

Friends, your E-mails and support is so great and appreciated. My brother and I are getting faster at answering E-mails. 

I hope everyone had a fine 30K today. Years ago my legs ran out of energy at 15 miles, couldn't even walk. I stood in road and hitchhiked to finish line with next passing vehicle. What a wimp I was in my younger days!.
