Tim Simpkins: Update 2/23/01

Dear Week-end racers,

Just go for it, my running friends! It is amazing so many races are happening this week-end. Hope your legs are full of energy and that the weather cooperates very well. I am so sorry I will miss the Relay. I am sure that you expert organizers will make it a very worthwhile event.

My 60 minute insulin treatment today actually lasted 2 hours. It takes another 60 minutes to gradually bring my body back to an acceptable level. Today's session gives me 5 insulin treatments in 5 days. So far I am hanging in. The pain and fatigue are still very powerful.

Today the weather is rainy and no sunshine. The temperature is 55-60 degrees. It is great running weather for me if I could get to it.

Please tell me in your updates how your races go this week-end. I wish you the best whether you are training or racing this weekend.Cora and Rachel, I miss you and the fine Tallahassee community.
