Community Award: Capital Health Plan

As a race director, I have always been a bit wary of sponsors and their demands. But with Capital Health Plan I have had the pleasure of working with a sponsor that has become a partner who shares a common goal. And I got to work with some very special people, Claudia Anderson, Sue Conti and Dr. Van Vessem. Helping to build a fit and healthy community has been a shared goal of CHP and GWTC. To make that goal a reality CHP has sponsored GWTC two biggest races - the Tallahassee Turkey Trot and Springtime. In addition to making a generous financial contribution, they have helped advertise and market the races and the club. They have supported a program of fitness throughout the community helping making the pedometer a major reminder of the importance of exercise and good health not just for the elite athlete, but for everyone.
