"If God invented marathons to keep people from doing anything more stupid, triathlon must have taken Him completely by surprise." P.Z. Pearce, M.D.

Bike Case for Rent
Are you planning a trip in the near future and suffer from cycling separation anxiety? Or, maybe you are planning a triathlon filled vacation. Take your bike with you! The tri-club has a bike case available for rental by members at the low cost of $35 Thursday – Monday or $50 per week. The case is a large, hard side, Tri-All-Three and is big enough to carry two carefully packed road bikes and some gear. If you are a current member of Gulf Winds Track Club and we have your address and phone numbers on file, contact Lynn Powell, 878-1221.
IMPROVE YOUR SWIMMING
Does the swim portion of a triathlon prevent you from taking the plunge into the world of multi-sport? From time to time, the Triathlon Club has organized group Swim Clinics designed to improve the swimming technique of members of all levels. Rod Havriluk and the folks from Swimming Technology Research have provided an enormous amount of swimming information to improve the strokes of everyone attending one of the clinics. Watch your e-mail and check the website for upcoming dates.
The clinics target the abilities of those in attendance. But
if your confidence level is not up to group scrutiny, Rod also provides private lessons.
