The 50 States & DC Marathon Group USA founded in Illinois is an informal fun group that shares a mutual love of running and walking marathons and ultras founded in 1989. The 50 States Marathon Club founded in Texas is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of health and fitness and the members share a common goal of running a marathon in each of the 50 states. Marathon Maniacs, founded in 2003, is a club of "crazy" runners of marathons and ultras, who feel distance running is an addiction. This group has ten levels of running accomplishments ranging from the bronze level to the titanium level.
