When Sarah Docter-Williams won the 2005 Flash 12K in a time of 45:30 she broke Jane Johnson’s masters’ record of 47:17 run in 2002 and ran the fourth fastest woman’s time ever in the race. Jane ran the third fastest masters time in the same race finishing in 50:10. The 2005 race was run on a new and easier course than the Chairs course. Jane retains the record for the fastest Flash ever with her time of 44:27 run in 1996. Despite the new course there were no men who broke the previous top ten lists for the race. Robin Roberts holds the men’s’ record – 38:02 run in 1994.
