2006 Grand Prix race slate announced
On October 12th, the Board approved the Grand Prix Committee’s proposed 2006 Grand Prix race slate. The 2006 Grand Prix race slate figures to be one of our most competitive yet and includes 12 races ranging from 1-mi to 30K in distance. In keeping with tradition, the 12 races were split between Gulf Winds club races (7) and non-club races (5).
The Board also approved the 2006 Kids Grand Prix race slate at the same time. For 2006, kids 14 and under can compete in seven races, including 1-mi and 5K races. Four of the seven races are Gulf Winds club races while the remaining three are non-club races.
Race to the finish of the 2005 Grand Prix at the November Turkey Trot 5K/10K/15K (all three races count) and December 10-Mile Challenge and then hit the ground running in January 2006 at the Bowlegs 5K and GWTC 30K races!
