Do you want the good news or the bad news first? OK, first the bad: Hot weather and hills assured there would be no PR’s for runners. Now the good: It just didn’t matter because the focus of this race is to have a good time, listen to music and consume food and beverage.
About 150 runners and a few extra partyers showed up for the second annual Sports Beat 5K production 4/10/99. Shannon Sullivan was most determined to make sure there was plenty of beverage and food – and he succeeded quite well.
