The 46th Palace Saloon 5K has been postponed to April 10, 2021.
If you remember, the race was booked for April 11, 2020. The Covid virus forced the City of Tallahassee to wisely prohibit large gatherings in March, and you have experienced many disruptions since then.
The PS5K was then rescheduled for October 24th. Unfortunately, that date has not now been approved in time for us to actually plug in all the moving pieces to get the event up and running.
The PS5K is not the type of race that would work well as a virtual race event. The Race Director decided, with the support of the GWTC Board of Directors, to reschedule the event for Saturday April 10, 2021.
Those of you who preregistered and paid in advance will have options. 1) Roll the registration over into the 4/11/21 race. 2) Donate your preregistered registered fee. 3) Receive a full refund. We are working on the Race website to allow you to easily select an option.
We hoped for the best, but when all else fails, we must adjust the game plan and work toward the future.
