Bare Bottom 5K
Over 300 people ran and walked the 3.1 mile course across the bare bottom of Lake Jackson June 24. Gary Droze led the pack, finishing in 16:40. Anna Pichrtovna was the first woman, coming in in 18:43. The first place males/females were presented a unique trophy mined from the lake bottom, while the other age group winners received aerial photographs of the lakebed taken by Tom Scott. Proceeds went to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tallahassee.
