Herb Wills, October 26, 2019

Another area race finished up its fourth decade this past Saturday at the 40th running of the Boston Mini Marathon, just north of us in Boston, Georgia. In just a few years we’ll see the first Tallahassee-area races reach the half-century mark, but for now, here is what happened at the 2019 Boston  Mini:

Pacing important as we jog into warmer weather

This past weekend’s warmer temperatures, by no means real summer, were rough enough to remind us that summer is coming. Being willing to slow down a bit while adjusting and staying hydrated are critical to staying healthy. It is amazing how fast a lack of fluids can...

Running Can Still Bring us Together

Running can still bring us together. It is a hell that can hardly be imagined while sitting in the comfort of my home. But hearing the anguish in the hospital administrator’s voice makes me know something bad wrong is happening.  He just wants “the bombs to stop,”...

Which Way Are We Going? D Yon 01-06-21

It seems as if 2020 does not want to go away, sort of like our President.  But the calendar has turned and we are almost a week into 2021 and no one is happy with the garbage from 2020 spilling over to 2021.  It is not clear why, but many people, me included, believe...
