Volunteer podcast host Mickey Moore marks a milestone with an inside look at the 50th Turkey Trot in GWTC’s newest We Run This Town episode.  Since the first race in 1976, the event has changed names, locations, distances, race directors and volunteers, and each change has added to its story.

Longtime race directors David and Mary Jean Yon, who have led the Turkey Trot for more than 30 years, share how the race began, how it has evolved and the moments that shaped it along the way. Mickey also introduces the race’s future directors, Danny (who joined them in studio) and Allison Manausa, for a candid conversation about what it takes to carry a 50-year tradition into its next chapter.
