I Can Not Run Alone
By David Yon
I cannot run fast enough
To pass through time and catch the planes
I cannot run far enough
To leave the awful memories behind
I cannot even run to a place
	Where I can see
The kind of evil that would posses a soul to create such devastation
But, if I run beyond my fear, beyond my anger
	I can run toward
Heroes climbing out of the rubble
	Carrying the wounded to safety
And heroes who gave their lives
In hopes of diminishing the evil that grew out of heart so cold
And the spirit of these and of those who wait in line
To give their blood to those in need
Will carry me to a place where I can start my run
On a journey to rebuild our world and to work everyday
To create a place
Where such evil does not exist.
