Timers Needed

GWTC is using a new timing program and recruiting interested Club members to learn the system. The new program, RaceDay, is processed through a dashboard and is much more intuitive than the timing program previously used by GWTC.

Although easier to use, RaceDay still requires computer skills. Timers will also learn how to use RFID Server, a software program used to capture the times as runners cross the mats. GWTC is seeking a few committed members who can time four or five races per year.

The Club has developed a timing manual that is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience. The manual and other training materials are available in a Dropbox folder. If you have an interest, send Peg Griffin an email (Peggriff91@gmail.com) requesting access to the Dropbox folder.

Need motivation? GWTC has introduced a payment system for timers who time non-GWTC races. You can earn $150 for setting up and timing a race.

If you decide to join the team after considering the training material, we will invite you to a race to participate in actual timing. Shortly after that, you will be ready to time your race.
